Build a baseline before optimizing
The best competitive settings are the ones that make important information easy to see and repeatable actions easy to control. Begin with a stable frame rate, clear visual hierarchy, comfortable input, readable audio cues and a field of view or camera that supports your role. Record the baseline before changing it.

Lock the setup long enough to learn it. Hardware, role, posture and preference mean there is no single perfect configuration for every player.
