Teamfight explained
Teamfights are common in MOBAs, hero shooters and other team games. The fight often begins before visible damage: teams gather information, position roles, protect key resources and decide who can start or counter the engagement. A won fight can still be inefficient if it spends everything and leaves no way to take the objective.
“Save the defensive ultimate for the next teamfight at the objective.”
Why the term matters
Review setup, target access, resource order and the reset after the fight. The final elimination count does not explain why one team could act first.
Use it correctly
When you hear Teamfight in a broadcast or team call, use the surrounding moment to understand it: who has information, which resources remain and what action comes next. The same word can sound slightly different across games, but a good call should still help a teammate decide.
Competitive language is most useful when it makes the next action clearer. Give the location, timing, or resource state needed to support the term. Avoid using shorthand as a substitute for a complete call when teammates need more information.
